Skiing Unlimited is a program that provides opportunities for disabled children and adults to enjoy snow skiing wit the assistance of specialized adaptive ski equipment. Dodge Ridge ski outing for the disabled are scheduled for Jan. 6, 20, and 27; Feb. 10and 24; and March 10 and 17 2007
"With the correct equipment and special instruction, there are few disabilities too severe to prevent participation in this wonderful winter sports program." said Michael Ireland, Jr. Skiing Unlimited program director. "But skiing opportunities for the disabled are only possible when experienced skiers come forward to donate their time and talent."
Intermediate and advanced snow skiers are invited to partner with the Society to assist its clients down the slopes. The adaptive ski equipment and volunteer training is provided by the Society.
