Donations
The Society for Handicapped Children and Adults is always in need of durable medical equipment donations. From wheelchairs, canes, walkers, and other medical equipment, we repair and loan out equipment to those most in need.
We have loaned out over $200,000 worth of equipment. Our greatest need is always wheelchairs.
Equipment donations can be made by dropping off the equipment at 1129 8th Street, Suite 101 in Modesto. If you can't drop the equipment off, call our office at 524-3536 and we can arrange to have a volunteer pick the equipment up.

We unfortunately cannot, at this time, accept hospital beds. Our storage is very limited and hospital beds require significant storage space. If you have a bed you would like to donate, call us and we will probably be able to locate a client in needs.
Monetary donations may be made at anytime. As a privately funded 501(3)c nonprofit corporation, we rely on the generosity of businesses and individuals for funding. Over 75% of each dollar the Society for Handicapped spends directly benefits our clients.
For more information about donations, please call Tom Truax, Executive Director at 524-3536.
